Mrs. Helen B. Norris

Our beloved mother, Helen Beatrice Norris (Owen) passed from this earth on Saturday morning July 6, 2019. She was born in 1929 at Marmaduke, Arkansas to Richard and Noma Owen. She was the 5th child of seven. Helen married Lorten Norris in 1946 in Arkansas followed by moving to San Francisco, where Lorten was stationed in the U.S. Marines. They lived in California and Arizona until his death in 1988. Helen then moved to Medford, Oregon to live near her eldest son. All four of their children were born in California.

During her lifetime, Helen worked at various jobs from government offices to assembly lines. She was a tax preparer/consultant in Arizona and Oregon for 25 years. Helen loved quilts and made a quilt for each member of her extended family. Her family was always important to her.

Helen is survived by her four children: Richard (Bonnie) Norris of Central Point, OR; Michael Norris of Pensacola, FL; Sharon Norris of Medford, OR; and Sandra (Russell) Dunn of Klamath Falls, OR. She loved and was the beloved grandmother to Robert (Dawn) Bridget; Richard (Nicole), Jennifer (Craig), Timothy, Thomas and Paula (Johnny) in addition to numerous great grandchildren.

Helen is survived by her older sister Crysta Carey and older brother, Willis (Bill) Owens in addition to many nieces and nephews across the country.
