Jean (Jeannie) Ann Wood was a longtime resident of Southern Oregon. Born in Los Angeles, California, Jean and her husband, “Woodie”, moved to Ashland in the early 70's, following family, looking for a quieter life. Jean took a job as a teller at First Interstate Bank in Ashland and over the years worked her way to bank manager to what would eventually become Wells Fargo. Surviving a stroke that paralyzed her left side at the young age of 50, she persevered, learned how to walk again and continued enjoying life. She loved traveling to the Oregon coast with her husband, reading a good book, and watching NASCAR with her family. She was the proud daughter of Country Music Hall of Fame music artist, Johnny Bond (Hot Rod Lincoln), middle sister of three, and a dedicated mother to her only child, Rachelle (Wood) Beveridge. Jean was preceded in death by her father, mother (Dorothy Bond) and her husband of 55 years, (H.L. “Woodie” Wood). She is survived by her daughter and sisters Susan (Bond) Hawley and Sherry Bond.
