Jeanine Marie McDermott January 25, 1953 – January 7, 2017 Jeanine Marie McDermott, 63, passed away unexpectedly. She was born in Minneapolis, MN to Frank and Sophie Budnicki. Jeanine graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Computer Science. She started her career in Anaheim, CA where she met Tom on the first day of work. They were married 15 months later and moved to Plano, TX. Jeanine worked for several companies: Rockwell, Electrospace Systems / Raytheon, and NORTEL Networks. She taught computer programming at Collin County Community College. In 2007 Jeanine and Tom moved to Medford. Jeanine taught at Rogue Community College. She was well-liked by many of her students who remember her for the positive impact on their lives. Jeanine was talented and highly-organized. She enjoyed painting, playing piano, sewing, and cooking and had a skill for almost any task. She had many friends where ever she lived. Jeanine is survived by her husband of 40 years, Tom McDermott; mother, Sophie Budnicki of Arden Hills, MN; brother Jim Budnicki of Shoreview, MN; and sister Carolyn Koch of Maplewood, MN, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 21st at First Presbyterian Church, Medford, OR.
