Jess’s hobbies included bow hunting, bonfires with family and friends, riding the range and herding cattle. He enjoyed tall trees and wide open spaces. He loved a good oak fire to BBQ.
Jess was a member of the Teamsters and Oregon State Sheriff’s Association. He retired from Knife River in Central Point, Oregon in September 2017.
Jess is survived by his loving wife, Geana, children, Brande Rodriguez, Brian (Michelle) Rodriguez, Erin (Nick) Anderson; step-daughter Lindsey (Travis) Acrey-Davis; sisters, Emily Turner, and Adele Trujillo, both of Hollister, CA. ; and seven grandchildren.
