The one thing that I am most thankful to God for is forgiveness because, as a foster care, I was angry with my dad on and off for years but the Lord provided a way for me to reconcile to my dad through forgiveness. Forgiving my dad allowed me to leave the past behind and look to the future where I could simply love him and not worry about the rest. Forgiveness really washes away the past and opens the door to the future. I cry at times just out of gratefulness to God to have given me that open door to love.
