John called me Doug. We both grew up in Douglas county Oregon. He was a great friend of mine he will be missed. Photo of John and my son Ryder.

Over the years there is no one memory I could share about John.   There was just too many.   He was far more to me than a son in law.  He was like one of my own.   He was above all a wonderful father, who made his mistakes, but not one of them was his love for his children.   John had a heart of  gold that extended far beyond his immediate family.   I'm glad to have been a part of that, how many guys can even love their mother in law, but John was that kind of guy.   Rest in peace my special friend and leave a special place beside you for me.   I love you John Kanady
