

Lois Ellen Todd, 82, of Seal Beach, California lovingly known as "Sis" to family was reunited with the Lord and her permanent heavenly home on October, 3, 2017. Her devotion to her Husband and Family and to God gave Lois her consuming life purpose and deep faith that ultimately gave her personal peace in her final battle with dementia. Service and buriel will be at El Camino Memorial Park at 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd San Diego, California on October 10th 2017 at 1pm. Formally of Sterling Colorado, Midland Texas, Carson Calif, Long Beach Calif, and San Diego Calif. Lois was born to the late Orlow and Ada (Davis) Richards on November 2 1934 in Sterling Colorado. Lois attended Sterling High and was honored to be homecoming queen and graduated May 27 1952. Lois then attended Northeastern Junior College and continued on to complete her Junior year at the University of Colorado, Boulder, affilated with the house Kappa Alpha Theta. Lois then married Robert Richard Todd of Denver Colorado October 8 1955 and soon began their unequaled love affair in Midland Texas. In Midland Texas, Lois worked for Texaco Oil then on to Southern California to raise her two boys and work part-time at Bank of America(Teller), University of California(Typist), Carson High School(Sectretary). After raising her two boys Lois co-owned two travel agencies in San Diego with her husband. After selling both businesses, Lois and Robert(Bob) formed and operated T and D Baggage delivery service until Roberts passing April 18 1988. Concurrently, Lois was also working for the San Diego County Assesssor's office and retired March 31 1997. After losing her husband and best friend, Lois continued to travel, assist family members with medical needs and looked for adventure in her life-long pursuit of flying, obtaining her pilots license at the age of 58. Lois kept with the flying theme in enjoying hot air balooning and non-motorize hand gliding when she was 60. Lois was confident in the power of prayer and was affilated with the Calvery christian church. Lois is preceded by her father Orlow Z. Richards and mother Ada Pauline Davis Richards and Husband Robert Todd and brother Lowell Richards. Lois is survived by her brother Leland Richards of Greeley Colorado and sister Joan (Richards) Dalley of Seal Beach California and sons Mike Todd Medford Oregon and Mark Todd Half Moon Bay California. In addition, Lois was blessed with grandchildren Elizabeth Hayashi, Aaron Todd, Jennifer Necochea, Nicole Eckart, Andrew Todd, and Marina Todd. Special mention to Lois's GREAT grandchildren Clint Necochea, Wesley Necochea, Elliot Hayashi and Oliver Hayashi.
