Marie Lynn McClellan

Marie, 64, passed away surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, service, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the people she cherished most.

Born in Lakeview, Oregon, Marie grew up on a Hereford cattle ranch, where she developed a strong work ethic and a lifelong love of nature. She was an accomplished athlete, running cross country and competing in skiing throughout her youth. Marie attended Southern Oregon University, where she met the love of her life and future husband, Jefre. Together they built a life centered on family,

faith, and community. In 1986, they made Eagle Point their home, where Marie became a beloved member of the community.

Marie devoted her career to working with children. She was a passionate 4-H leader who found great joy in mentoring young people and helping them grow. As the Librarian and Media Specialist at White Mountain Middle School, she inspired

countless students through her love of reading, learning, and education.

She found happiness in the simple gifts of the outdoors. Whether she was hunting mushrooms, salmon fishing, hunting, or tending to the beautiful yard she lovingly called her oasis, Marie found peace in God's creation. She was also a devoted Steelers fan and loved cheering on her team through the years. Her warmth, generosity, and welcoming spirit made everyone feel at home.

Above all, Marie's greatest joy was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Jefre; her sister, Cathy; her brother, Lee; her sons, Bryan and Jered; her daughter, Alyssa; and her six beloved grandchildren, who will forever carry her love and lessons in their hearts.

A non-formal celebration of Marie's life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared by the family. The family simply asks for your prayers for all who loved Marie. Honor her memory by giving those you love a hug, telling them how much they mean to you, and cherishing every moment together.

Marie’s strong spirit, generous heart, unwavering dedication to her family and community, and love of life’s simple pleasures will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
