I worked with Merrill for over 20 years at the Southern Oregon Education Service District.  I considered him a friend as well as a co-worker.  We danced together a lot when J.R.'s North Forty was open on Crater Lake Avenue.  Merrill was a hard worker, and he was always ready to help someone.  It has now been almost two years since he passed, and I miss his great sense of humor and continued friendship over the years.  Rest in peace old friend.

I SERVED WITH  ETCS STONE ON THE USS JASON AR8 IN THE EARLY 1970s AND THEN AT THE ADVANCED ELECTROICS  SCHOOL UNTIL I RETIRED AS A SENIOR CHIEF IN 1978. I  THEN LOST TRACK OF WHEN HE RETIRED AND MOVED AWAY FROM SAN DIEGO CA.. I REMERBER HIM AS "BILL",  A FANTASTIC SHIPMATE,  AND A GREAT LEADER OF MEN. 
OVER THE YEARS I TRIED TO LOCATE HIM BUT FAILED.
