Michael Mikey Duane Martin

Michael “Mikey” Duane Martin 5/12/49 - 10/16/2017 Michael “Mikey” Martin 68, passed away peacefully on October 16th at his home in Prospect, Oregon surrounded by his family and friends. Mikey was born on May 12, 1949 in Orange County, California to Betty Clark and Bob Martin. He spent most of his life living in southern California until the death of his mother in 2000. At that time, he came to live in Prospect with his Sister and Brother-in-Law, Vicki and Steve Rucker. Mikey loved to do yard work like weed eating, raking and anything to do with yard maintenance. He also loved to collect anything to do with transportation, ie: planes, trains and automobiles, he had quite a collection of Hot Wheels and WWII model aircraft. He was also an animal lover. There was never a dog or cat that didn’t like him. He was dubbed the “Pied piper of animals”. Mikey was preceded in death by his mother and father, uncle Jim Mills and niece Dawn Hubbard. He is survived by his sister Vicki Rucker, aunt Anna Mills, and several cousins, nieces, nephews, and grand nephews. Mikey will be dearly missed and will be in our hearts forever. A memorial service will be held at the Prospect Nazarene Church and will be announced at a later date.
