

Millie was born to Ernest Edward and Anna Laura (Brown) House in Sunset, AR on February 23, 1928.
In 1933, her family moved to Lawrence, KS where she attended public schools, graduating from Liberty Memorial H.S. in May 1946. She was baptized Easter Sunday 1940 at the Church of Christ in North Lawrence, KS.
Millie married Wallace Homer "Red" Hamlet on September 22, 1946 at the tender age of 18 at her home in Lawrence, KS. The young couple moved to Colorado July 1952 with their two young daughters, Nancy and Janice.
She, along with her husband and oldest daughter, moved to Klamath Falls, OR in 1983 and later to her current home in 2004.
Millie enjoyed needlework and was a fine seamstress; making many of her daughters clothes and clothes for their dolls. She also enjoyed making Halloween costumes and a teddy bear for her young grandson, Jonathan.
Millie loved to bowl and was on several bowling leagues in Colorado and Oregon for over 45 years. She introduced both grandsons to the sport and bought them their first bowling balls. She also loved playing cards and especially enjoyed playing miniature golf with her grandsons.
Millie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister. She will also be remembered for her short stature, infectious giggle, sweet smile and deep love of God.
Millie was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, two half-brothers, a half-sister, one nephew and one niece.
She is survived by her two daughters - Nancy Hamlet, Janice (Tom) Caddell, step-grandson Chris (Linda) Caddell, grandson Jon (Patricia) Caddell, three nieces, one nephew and one cousin.
She will be buried with her husband at Eagle Point National Cemetery, Eagle Point, OR. A graveside service will be announced at a future date.
Millie's family wishes to express their gratitude to all of those who have loved her, watched over her and considered her their friend these past 93 years.
