Richard was born July 2 1963 in Medford. He graduated from Medford Senior High in 1981 and married Holly Gibson that summer. He had a son Bradley (Tasha), grandchildren Bryson, Kyleigh, Oliver, and a daughter Kimberly. He was a heavy equipment mechanic for Roger Harshman Parts & Equipment and Timber Products in Medford for 29 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at the Oregon dunes camping and riding his sand toys. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, parents Bill and Rachel, brother Tim and sister Sheila. He was preceeded in death by his grandparents, Chuck and Willie Strawn and Alex and Alice Lopez. The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life BBQ at Cantrall Buckley Park on August 22, 2015 at 12:00 p.m..
