Shirley June Harden passed away on November 6, 2025, at the age of 88, from natural causes. She was born in Bakersfield, California to Charles and Geraldine Van Horn on March 31, 1937. She is survived by her only son, Dana S. Harden who also lives in Medford. Shirley was the eldest of four siblings:  (brother) Robert R. Van Horn (deceased) and is survived by sister, Judith C. Roe (Van Horn) and brother, Charles G. Van Horn, as well as many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and grand nephews, and one great-grand niece. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Sheba.

Shirley lived in Southern California, where she had a career in banking, eventually retiring from Bank of America as a Vice President. She loved reading, art, and travel. She visited many interesting places, such as China and Russia, among many others. She was actually at Tiananmen Square during the uprising in China in 1989. After Shirley retired, she followed Judith and Robert Roe to Medford, Oregon, in 1995. She built her dream home in the same subdivision as her family. It had a view that she loved, overlooking the Rogue Valley. She shared a back fence with her niece, Kelly C. Kleinberg (Roe) and her family. She and her sister loved to shop for antiques and other great finds for their homes.
