

Born on March 22, 1921 in Town of Carlton, NY, he was the son of the late August and Helena (Sarhow) Quintern.
On August 31, 1940, Don married his childhood sweetheart, the late Evelyn Roberta Litchfield Quintern. In May of 1944, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp. and was stationed in Hawaii and he returned home in February, 1946.
Don was employed with various company’s including, Roberts Farm, U.S. Gypsum, Sylvania, and lastly, 15 years with Rochester Products. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing.
Don is survived by three children: Sharon Botsford of Lyndonville; Ron Quintern of Rochester, NY and Patricia (Mark) Wurl of Brentwood, TN; 14 Grandchildren: Valerie Wolterman, Robert VanAuker, Sara Kyle, Melissa Weinblatt, Christopher Botsford, Melanie Kelley, Ronald Quintern, Jr., and Rachel Wurl, Richard Botsford, Barbara Stanton, Timothy Botsford, Marybeth Artuso, Sally Wasserman, Terry Brown;
20 Great-grandchildren, 3 Great-great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased a grandson: James VanAuker; Son-in-law: Chalmers Botsford and Daughter-in-law Mary Pat Quintern and 12 siblings.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 at the Bates & Tuttle Funeral, 226 Pearl Street, Medina, NY. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 11AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 1212 West Ave., Medina, NY with Pastor, Rev. Peter A. Lindemann officiating.
Burial will be in West Ridgeway Cemetery with Military Honors from members of Lincoln Post #1483, V.F.W. and Butts-Clark Post #204, American Legion.
