Harold J. Bacon

Born on August 27, 1922 in Medina, NY, he was the son of the late George and Hazel Bacon.

Harold grew up in Medina and in 1942 he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in the Pacific Theatre. On returning home he drove truck for Bacon Trucking. On June 25, 1949, he married the late and former Evelyn Whitney, settling in Albion/Medina area. Lastly, he retired from Lapp Express and driving patients for Orleans County. He enjoyed working and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Harold is survived by his children, Bill (Ellen) Bacon and Joyce (Dennis) Montague, all of Medina, Three grandchildren, Christopher, Sarah and Pamela, three great-grandchildren, Jared, Sandra and Rebecca. Also, three siblings, Charles (Sharon) Bacon, Martha (David) Fosters, all of Medina, Alice riches of Albion and many nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
