Abram Hardin “Red” Smith, 97 of Memphis died October 10 at St. Francis Hospital after a cardiac arrest. He was born in Waterford, MS and was retired from Genuine Parts Company and was a long time member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church. He was married to Lillie Ruth Smith from 1937 until her death in 2007. He leaves a daughter Rebecca Smith of Memphis and a sister, Frances McGarah of Bartlett. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 14 from 9 am until service time at 10 am at Family Funeral Care on Summer Ave. Burial will follow service in Waterford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital.
