In 1958, Aggie worked at General Electric in Chicago where she met her boss who became her beloved husband, Jack Losa. After they got married, they moved to St. Louis, Missouri for a brief period and had the twins, Debbie and Barbie. Then they headed south to Memphis, Tennessee and two years later had their third daughter, Shari. Memphis became their home about 65 years.
Aggie chose to stayed home with her three daughters until they all were in school. She accepted a job as a preschool teacher at Underwood United Methodist Church and, over time, became Director of the Preschool and Daycare -leading those successful programs for 20 years. During this time, she took an additional job as a beginners swim coach for the Memphis State University AAU team for about 3 years. Aggie realized there was a great need for swim lessons for young children and she offered group swim lessons in her backyard for about 20 years. Eventually, she took a new position as Director of the Germantown Baptist Church Preschool Program until retirement. Her cherished love for children was evident in every season of her life.
Aggie was a member of Germantown Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. Her love for serving the Lord was displayed in many of her various ministries such as helping with Wednesday Night Logos Programs for the youth, heading up a very active Friday Night Fellowship group for adults for over 10 years and making monthly communion bread for her church services. When her health deteriorated, Aggie started making phone calls to encourage homebound and church members for as long as she was able because she truly loved her church family.
Aggie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Beloved by many, she had a gift of hospitality and delighted in hosting pool parties for everybody, cookouts with the neighbors, the girl's many sleepovers, and many family gatherings filled with warmth, laughter and food. Family meant the world to Aggie. Her fierce love and steady presence will be profoundly missed.
