She was born on September 7, 1924 in Ripley, Tennessee (Arp Community), to the late Elmer Mack Harrison and Lela Strain Harrison.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jay McGlasson, son Charles Ronald McGlasson Sr; and two brothers Bud & Tony Harrison.
Aileen is survived by her daughter Connie Aileen McGlasson of Memphis; sister Patricia Parham of Rosemark, Tennessee; three grandchildren Charles Ronald (Staci) McGlasson, Jr. of Oakland, Tennessee, Robert Toy McGlasson of St. Augustine, Florida and Michael Nicholas (Kristen) McGlasson of Germantown, Tennessee; four great-grandchildren Nicholas & Christopher McGlasson and Amber & Emily McGlasson.
Aileen led an active and organized life. She was a graduate of Memphis School of Commerce (1944) during which time she met her future husband, Robert Jay McGlasson. Upon his death in 2008, they had been married for 62 years.
She lived her adult life in Memphis. Upon graduation she worked as an accountant for multiple businesses before finding her final "business home" at Jemison, Inc. (Alco Properties) where she served as accountant, comptroller and treasurer between 1955 until her retirement in 1990.
After retirement she spent her time volunteering at St. Francis Nursing Home teaching Bible study classes while also learning different art mediums.
As Aileen's vision declined in her later years she still was determined to maintain her independence. She often prepared her Bible study lessons with the use of visual aids and memorized what she would soon be teaching.

All services will occur at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. Rev. Don Marston will lead the days services. Burial will follow at Memphis Memory Gardens Cemetery.
