

Albert “Russell” Buntin, 91, of Memphis, Tennessee died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, November 9, 2010. A construction superintendent for Inman Construction, Mr. Buntin was a member of the Carpenter’s Local #345, White River Rogues Fishing Group, and former member of the University of Memphis Rebounders Club. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 11 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and funeral services will be on Friday, November 12 beginning at 2:00 p.m. all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Poplar Avenue. Mr. Buntin was preceded in death by his wife Eileen F. Buntin; son John Russell Buntin; sisters Emma Sue Newsom and Mildred Barham; and brothers Loren Buntin and William Buntin. He is survived by his daughter Frances B. Lyons (Robert) of Plymouth, MA; son Joe Buntin of Memphis; sister Jane Graves of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren Sarah Clarke (Andrew), Brad Buntin (Stephanie), Darby Cardillo (Marc), Erin Lyons, McKenzie Hurley (Brian), Russ Buntin and Melissa Buntin; great-grandchildren Fischer & Tate Clarke, Chandler & Hadley Buntin, Hayley & Will Cardillo, Reece Favalora, Peyton Hurley, and Ashleigh & Kayleigh Buntin; and his best friend and constant companion Ziggy Marley Clarke Buntin. Russell’s family would like to offer their sincerest thank you to Frank Inman and his family who has been by Russell’s side even during the twenty plus years of his retirement.
