

ALEX "A.P." ROSE, Jr., 76, of Memphis, passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, March 4, 2007. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 6 at Memphis Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 7 in Macon Cemetery, Macon, TN.
Mr. Rose attended Sewannee Military Academy and University of Memphis and served his country in the United States Air Force. He was retired from Holiday Inn Corporation. He was a member of Second Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon and the Chapel Class President. He was quite the equestrian, super chef, life of a party and loved his farm life.
Mr. Rose was preceded in death by his parents, Alex Percy Rose, Sr. and Marietta Wellons Rose. Mr. Rose is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jeanne Murrell Rose; a son, Mike Rose; two daughters, Angie Rose and Candy Duke; three granddaughters, Hallie Rose, Alexa Rose, and Kate Duke; and one nephew, Gary Cox, all of Memphis.
