Alice Fern Houston, Memphis, TN, 95 passed away August 2, 2016 at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville, TN. Alice was a lifelong, active member of Grimes Memorial United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Houston and two sons, Billy and Tommy Houston. She leaves five grandchildren, Tammye Herring (Pat), Lisa Hawkins (David), Thresa Smith (Eric), Brian Houston (Kim), Joe Houston and eight great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 9 a.m. until service time. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m.; all in the chapel of Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar, Memphis, with interment to follow at Memphis Memory Gardens on Raleigh-LaGrange Road. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Mrs. Houston may be offered to the Grimes Memorial United Methodist Church, 4649 Summer Avenue, Memphis, TN or the Baptist Reynolds Hospice House, 1520 W. Poplar Avenue, Collierville, TN.
