Born on April 3, 1958, in the Dallas, Texas area, Allen was the son of the late Lee and Lillian Singleton.
Allen was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his four children, twelve grandchildren, and four siblings, who will cherish his memory and the time they shared with him.
Allen found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved spending time fishing, hosting family cookouts, and celebrating the holidays. While he enjoyed every holiday, Halloween was always his favorite and one he looked forward to each year. He also took great pride in his work as a house painter, approaching every project with dedication, care, and craftsmanship. One of his greatest pleasures was traveling to Bermuda to visit family, creating lasting memories with those he loved most.
Allen will be remembered for his hard-working spirit, his love for his family, and the happiness he found in bringing people together. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Thursday, August 13 at Family Funeral Care 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN. Services will follow at 2:00pm. Interment will be at Memphis Memory Gardens 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Rd, Memphis, TN.
