Alma Jean grew up with strong values, a determined spirit, and a personality that could never be overlooked. Those who knew her remember her as spunky, fiercely independent, and unafraid to speak her mind. She had a remarkable way of surprising others with her candid remarks, often sparking spirited conversations that brought laughter and warmth to her family.
She dedicated several years of her life to Civil Service, contributing her skills across multiple departments with pride and commitment.
Alma Jean is survived by her loving daughter, Kim Myers, and son in law, Scott Myers; her son, Tommy Yearout, and daughter in law, Patty Yearout; her sister, Suzie Williams; and Shelby Williams, whose unwavering support, compassionate care, and loving devotion while even being their when she took her last breath. Shelby and Suzie’s selfless dedication reflected the deep bond they shared with her and will forever remain part of her story.
Among her greatest joys were her grandsons—Tommy Lee Yearout, Tyler Myers, and Ethan Yearout. She was immensely proud of the young men they became. Whether sharing stories, offering guidance, or simply enjoying their company, her love for them was constant and unmistakable. The memories they created together will be treasured always.
Alma Jean also held a special place in her heart for her nieces, Tammy Ragan and Rhonda Keegan. She loved them dearly and cherished the moments they shared—family gatherings, long conversations, and simple visits that strengthened their lifelong bond.
Another deeply meaningful relationship in her life was with her cousin, Cathy Hudson—a connection so profound that words could never fully capture it.
Her great nephew, Chris Dean, also brought joy to her life and held a special place in her heart and even spent her last birthday with her in AR.
And needless to say, she had lots of friends that she dearly loved, Cathy McPherson, Gloria Crum, Dan, Roxy, Gayla and many more.
Alma Jean was also blessed with wonderful neighbors and dear friends who became like family. Peggy, Shirley, and Linda watched over her with kindness, shared countless conversations and laughter, and were always there when she needed a helping hand. She loved them dearly and treasured the friendship, care, and companionship they brought into her life.
“Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.”
Matthew 25:34 – “Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.”
