Alphretta Eileen Huffman

Alphretta Eileen Huffman “Leenie” passed away on July 13, 2013 in Memphis, TN at Methodist Alliance Hospice. She was born in 1936 in Centerville, Ohio to Cora Louise Elizabeth Peterson Reese and Orlo Merle Reese, Sr. and had three brothers and three sisters, Delores Jean Langford (Robert) of Cookville, TN; Leroy Linton Reese (Connie) of Centerville, OH; Esther Duane Newman (Robert) of Salida, CO; Carol Louise Kirnec (Bill) of Centerville, OH; Orlo Merle Reese, Jr. (Janet), and Charles Edgar Reese (Sandy) of Bradford, PA. She married her high school sweetheart, Dr. John D. Huffman (PA) and they have been married for 55 years. They have two sons, Larry Huffman (Piper) and Matthew Huffman (Amanda) and three daughters, Dana Huffman Driver (Philip), Cheryl Huffman Walker (John) and Christina Huffman. They also have twelve grandchildren, Wyatt and Ty Huffman, Nolan, Hayden, and Zachary Driver, Stephanie, Clayton and Katie Walker, Paisley and Beckett Huffman, TJ and Lane Tegethoff. Leenie devoted most of her life raising her children and grandchildren. She was involved in foster parenting, Subsidium, field trailing and enjoyed playing tennis with her girlfriends. She and Pa retired and moved to their dream home on Whippoorwill Farms in Michigan City, MS in 2003. It is here where the families get together and enjoy weekends full of hunting, fishing and cookouts. Leenie was loved by everyone she came into contact with. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, with a Memorial service at 11 a.m., July 18, both at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN.
