Althia was my friend, a former coworker, and my daughter's, Cheryl, godmother. So to say I will miss her is an understatement. I will miss her after midnight text messages that would greet me when I would get up in the mornings. Jeremy and her family, please know that you remain in my prayers. I'm so grateful God blessed me with Althia in my life.

My dear Althia,
I have loved you always. When it was just you and I, we laughed, we cried, we shared our secrets. Sometimes you were the big sister, sometimes I was. As we grew, life changed for us, but not our love. We took care of each other thru the good an thru the struggles. You were more than my sister, you were my champion and my cheerleader. Dear sister, the pain is over, now, only heavenly peace. Loving you then, loving you now, loving you always.

To the Family of Althia Monday. This is an old friend from Southside High School. Sherion Wiggins. Althia was a good friend. We lost contact over the years but she was always in my thoughts. May God give you all the strength you need as you bury your love one.

After high school Althia and I were roommates at Christian Brothers! Through the years we lost touch, but had reconnected a few months ago. We met for lunch in June and spent all afternoon laughing and reminiscing about our CBC years, discussing what was on our Bucket List and ended the day pledging to do lunch again soon!

My prayers are with her family!🙏🏾💙 May GOD’s peace be with you!

To my big sister,

It tears my heart apart to know you won't text me at 12:32 a.m. again. You were never bound by time. Didn't care about the when. Lord, I thank you, you gave her to be my sister and we grew as friends. Trusting in God's word, I put my hope in this one thing, being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6. Until we meet again, I love you.

Most people I know thought my sisters spoiled me being the only boy. That in fact, was far from the truth. I couldn't get away with anything while my sisters usually did. But, Althia, would always come to me after I had gotten into trouble and she would ask, "you alright?" She often braided my hair (yes, she did), and she would always give me advice. Even when I went wrong, she would always open her heart and her doors to me. I think my sister knew that I love her before she took her rest. I will never forget her and she will be missed by many. I am chief of the "many". Until we meet again, brother.
