

She was a graduate of Sheffield High School. Anika enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gail C. Caldwell; daughter, Alexis Gates, grandparents; Johnny Jones, Henrietta Jones, and Betty Jean Cox; great-grandparents, Annie and Alvie Vanarsdale; aunt, Freida K. Jones; and uncle Larry Skipper.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her sister, Andrea Caldwell; niece, London Briggs; nephew, Landon Briggs; uncles, Larry Vanarsdale, Roland Jones, Marlon (Gwen) Ross, Obed Caldwell, and Darnell (Toi) Cox; aunts, Mina Jones, Vernita Cox, and Bettie Scullark Hinton, all of Memphis, Tennessee; and aunt, Rozeta Jones, of Dumfries, Virginia. She also leaves a cousin Shaquita Jones who helped care for her alongside her sister and aunt. Her memories will also be cherished by a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
A wake will be held at Memphis Funeral Home, located at 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee, on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM. Visitation will occur on Saturday, February 14 beginning at 1:00 PM until her funeral service at 2:00 PM, all at Memphis Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Road, Memphis, Tennessee.
