Anne Glasgow

She is survived by her nieces Carol McCarley of Memphis, and Doris Anne Gainey of Wilmington, NC, and her nephews, John Glasgow of Cleveland, OH, and Gene Glasgow of Port Allegany, PA.

Anne was born in Memphis on April 14, 1923, and spent her early years in Memphis and Brownsville, TN. She graduated from Central High School in 1941 and began working at the Peabody Hotel. She later advanced to become the Accounting Manager at the J. E. Dilworth Co. Following this career she took a position as the Finance Manager for the City of Memphis Public Library system and retired in 1987.

Anne will be remembered by her nieces and nephews as the fun-loving aunt who frequently got them in trouble with their parents. She loved traveling, gardening and playing with her pets. She was a loyal friend with a kind heart, and she will be truly missed.

Visitation will be Monday, April 10, 2017, at Memphis Funeral Home, Poplar Chapel

11:00 – 12:00 to be followed by graveside services at Forest Hill Midtown.
