

ARCH BOYCE BOYD III, born December 25, 1949, passed away at his Memphis home on Friday, November 25, 2011. He was a practicing Memphis attorney for 36 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Arch B. Boyd, Jr., and his sister-in-law, Kathy Boyd. He is survived by his mother, Edee Boyd of Campbell, MO; his sister, Marcia Boyd of Cordova; his brother, Paul Boyd of Germantown. He is also survived by his nephews, Patrick Boyd of Austin, TX, and Robert Boyd of Baton Rouge, LA. He leaves his aunt, Audra Luff; uncles, Harry Niewald and Dee Wagster; several cousins; and many friends. He will be missed by the many clients he has served with dedication and perseverance over the years, and by many associates in the judicial community. He graduated from Memphis State (University of Memphis) with a B.A. in 1971 and from Law School in 1975. Early in his career he served on various committees of the Bar Association and various non-profit boards. He had maintained his membership at First Baptist Church in Campbell, MO. Arrangements are by Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, November 29 and services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 30 at the funeral home. A second visitation and service will be held in Campbell, MO, his hometown, at Landess Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. with burial at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 1, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell.
