OBITUARY

Bettye Gregory Palmer

October 16, 1934June 3, 2021

Bettye Gregory Palmer, age 86, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2021 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Bettye Lou was born a twin and her sister Francis Sue Gregory preceded her in death. Her husband, Dr. Dale E. Palmer, Sr., whom she shared 52 happy years of marriage preceded her in death as well as her children Cathy Lou Palmer Dormer and Dale E. "Gene" Palmer, Jr.

She is survived by four grandchildren, Lauren Gordon, Lindsay Gordon, Leslie Gordon, and Ian Palmer (Morgan); two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Vivian Gordon, whom she dearly loved; and her wonderful church family at Bellevue Baptist Church, the Family of Friends Sunday School Class.

She was a member of Bellevue since 1967. Bettye received her education from University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Belton, Texas. She was an excellent pianist and organist.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 9 from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 12:00 Noon, at Bellevue Baptist Church. She will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery, immediately following services.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorials may be directed to Bellevue Baptist Church or Mid-America Theological Seminary.
