Brittney was born May 31, 1983, in Amarillo, Texas, to Tyra Solbrig Melton Nunn, and Billy Chris Melton on a very special day; it was the day of her mother’s and father’s wedding anniversary and her Aunt Ruby and Boyce Klein’s wedding anniversary.
She lived in Amarillo, Texas until she was 8 years old when her mother, and little sister Ashley Nichole Melton moved to Memphis, Tennessee in 1991.
She graduated from Cordova High School in May 2001. She moved, right after graduation, to Salt Lake City, Utah, from May 2001 until October 2001. She moved back home to her mom’s and step-dad’s (Rick Nunn) residence in Nashville, Tennessee and attended Nashville Cosmetology School. After she graduated from Cosmetology School in 2003, she moved back to Memphis, where she got a job in her field. She then met her future husband Kyle Alan Lepeard and his two girls, Taylor, and McKenzie. Brittney and Kyle got married in Fredericksburg, Texas, on April 23, 2005. They would have celebrated 18 years of marriage this coming April but have been together for 20 years.
She was a very beautiful, compassionate, giving, loving daughter, wife, mother, step-mother, sister, niece, cousin, friend, and step-grandmother. She was a beautician and loved to talk, visit, with anyone who also had the gift of gab. She loved her small farm with her chickens, pigs, rare turkey’s, duck’s, and her horses, and yes, she spoke to them all like they were also her kids. She raised them all, whether they were born on their farm or gotten as babies or older. She loved the farm and taking care of her husband and son, and everyone else that she could. She never met a stranger. She would give her shirt off her back to anyone in need. She also had this incredible infectious smile. She was a wise old soul in a 39-year-old body.
Survivors include her husband, Kyle Alan Lepeard; son, Levi Kash Lepeard; step-daughters, Taylor Lepeard Springs (Kye) and McKenzie Lepeard; three step-grandchildren, Asher and Oliver Springs and Omni Lepeard.
