Burton Ray Alderson, 78, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at his residence in Memphis, TN. He was born on January 6, 1944 to the late Luther Ray and Parish Hannah Alderson in Memphis, TN. Burton worked at City of Memphis as a firefighter for 10 years. He earned his pilot license at the age of 16 and enjoyed being in the air. Burton’s favorite pastimes included skydiving, scuba diving and hang gliding. He lived and loved his life to the fullest. Burton was preceded in death by his parents, and two half siblings. He leaves behind his loving wife of 9 years, Beverly Kay Alderson and four step children. Burton also leaves behind one granddaughter.
