Carl loved the Lord and spoke of him almost daily. He was an avid reader of the Bible and always kept it close to his heart.
In 1986 he left Philadelphia and moved to Memphis, Tennessee.
On the 10th day of April, 2023 at 1:52 AM he took his last breath to go home and be with his Lord and Savior.
He was married to Shirley A. Shaw on April 23, 1993, on Sunday they would’ve celebrated 30 years of marriage and 44 beautiful years together. Of this union they had one son together, Carl G. Fairy, Jr. (Carlie).
He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Russell Fairy and Eugene Fairy, III.
He leaves to mourn his passing and celebrate his life, his wife, Shirley A. Fairy; a brother, Mark A. Fairy; two sons, Carl G. Fairy, Jr and Nihafr Bolden; five grandchildren, Romelo, Jarrett, Cariltto, Nihafr Jr. & Nicco; three brothers-in-law, Marvin J. Shaw, Sean J. Shaw and John A. Shaw (Marchell).; one sister-in-law, Sylvia D. Shaw-Woody; along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A wake for Carl will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119. His homegoing funeral service will occur Friday, April 21, 2023 from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM, also at Memphis Funeral Home. A committal service & military honors will immediately follow at 2:00 PM, at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis, TN 38125.
