On behalf of the Woodland Hills Neighborhood Watch, we send our deep and sincere condolences to the Wife and Family of our Brother, Carl Hess. Carl made being the Neighborhood Watch Leader simple because he would be one of the first people to volunteer. He would walk miles scanning our entire Woodland Hills subdivision and surrounding areas (Pisgah, Berry Hill, and Houston Levee). Carl knew the importance of crime prevention and was one of the best Block Captains we could have wished for. We are thankful to have been blessed to work with him. His physical presence walking our streets will be missed, but his spirit and influence will be with us always.

Sincerely,
Maverick Roberts

Our hearts and prayers will continue during this time of sorrow. Our families have been friends for over 60 years. We are grateful to have this long lasting relationship with the Hess family. We knew Carl as a smooth and humble guy who had an infectious smile. Those summer visits you all made to Arkadelphia at our home and at the church and also on special occasions we were always delighted to see the family. Carl is and will continue to be missed by the Terry family. Be encouraged and remember only what you do for Christ will last!

I want to extend my condolences to the family of Carl and prayers for peace and comfort during this time. Carl was a sweet person who livened up the office when he came in. He had a great sense of humor but an even bigger presence of "Jesus" in him. If you stopped by his office in the morning, you got to hear Hallelujah FM and he'd be there, sorting his work and quietly drinking a cup of coffee. If anyone needed help with something, he made time to help. But he needed help, he knew how to put you to work too! He will definitely be missed! Rest in Heavenly Peace my friend!
