Carol Denise Brewer

Carol Denise Brewer, age 66, of Collierville, Tennessee passed away at her residence on December 4, 2024 from natural causes. She was born on February 12, 1958 in Corinth, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her father, W.J. Brewer and her mother Lanell Lambert Brewer.

Carol graduated from Burnsville High School in 1976 and received her bachelor's degree from the University of North Alabama in Florence, followed by a master's degree from the University of Tennessee Health Sciences in Memphis. In total she spent more than 40 years in the healthcare profession.

She loved the beach and sunning by the pool when the beach was far away. Her fondness for shopping fueled her interest in all things unusual and elegant. That shopping "bug"helped to nourish her love for interior design. Hers was a distinct style that combined French inspired beauty in charming, cozy settings. All that presented visual feasts for the eyes of visitors to her home.

She leaves behind a love for football-especially University of Alabama football! ROLL TIDE! In addition, she leaves a legacy of loving dogs that was reciprocated by all the canines that crossed her path. Clearly she had that "dog whisperer" touch. Emma, her special four legged friend had been her cherished fur baby for over a decade but will now be loved and cared for by one of her co-workers.

Carol had a passion for cooking and for eating out and enjoying food in the company of good friends. She lived her life as a distinct individual and left this earth much too soon. Although she was looking forward to retirement in the near future, her unexpected departure from this life interrupted that aspiration and brings tears to those she left behind. Even so, her friends take comfort in knowing that her Baptist faith paved the way for her to be with her Heavenly Father and to be reunited with her parents and her dearly loved Uncle Danny. Perhaps that family gathering will have some spirited political discussions in the hereafter. We will miss Carol dearly but will never forget her.

A graveside service will be held January 15, 2025 at Antioch Free Will Baptist Cemetery in Burnsville, Ms. Services will start at 1:00pm.
