I came into this family late, but I always had the invitation. You never once made me feel like a latecomer. You opened your arms and your home, and you treated me as if I had been sitting at your table my whole life. I want everyone to know what that meant to me.
Some people spend years earning a place in a family, and I always wondered where I belonged. You made me feel right at home. You never asked me to explain where I had been, how I was raised, or to make up for lost time. Without ever saying it, you told me, "You belong here." I will always cherish the first time we met, and the random messages checking in to make sure I was okay and feeling the love that was always meant for me. Being late to the party never meant I wasn't invited. You made sure of that.
To my Dad, who lost his sister, to my cousins, who lost their mother, and to Granny, who lost her daughter: my heart is with you. I am so sorry for your loss, and I am holding you close in my prayers. Though the pain is heavy, I take comfort knowing heaven gained one of the strongest and most loving angels there could be.
I will miss your voice, your warmth, and the way you made me feel at home the moment we shared a room. I will honor you by welcoming others the way you welcomed me, without conditions and with an open heart.
I love you, and I always will.

Hey Grammy,
It brings tears to my eyes to see you go, but knowing you’re in a better place eases the pain. You were the best grandmother you could’ve been and I appreciate everything you’ve done for me. I love you so much!

-Connor

Love you Grammy. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me. It hurts to see you go but you’re in a better place now and reunited with papa. I appreciate all the little things you did and all the love you gave and for always checking up on me when I needed you most. I love you and you will be dearly missed.
-Chase

Hey Grammy. Thank you for always reading books with me and telling me stories and giving me hugs and kisses. I’m going to miss you so much, now that I have another guardian angel looking over me. I love you Grammy.

Love you mom! You and dad are now reunited. There aren't any words that expresses the pain I feel, but I'm comforted knowing that you are in a better place. You both were the best parents that I could have ever imagined. Until we meet again, I will always love and cherish you both.
-Chris
