She was born in Memphis, Tennessee on March 24,1946 to Wiley and Marie Dozier.
She was alumni at Messick High School, Memphis, TN.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Jack Rutherford, as well as two of her brothers, Darby Dozier and Donnie Dozier and her parents Wiley and Marie Dozier.
She is survived by her brother Richard Dozier and her sister Cheryl White as well as her daughter, Lisa Marie Rutherford Cole and many cousins, nieces and nephews
A visitation for Carolyn will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 9:00 AM at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38122, with her funeral service following at 10:00 AM.Her committal service will occur Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38119. The family invites everyone back for food and fellowship at 12:00 PM, 4925 Summer Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38122.
