CARRIE HILL, 47, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014. She was a loving wife, mother and friend as well as a gifted bead and wire jewelry artist. Carrie enjoyed sharing her sense of humor with others and was very witty with words. She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Jerry Hill; one daughter, Melanie Hill and her fiance, Calvin Bowles, Jr.; mother, Marjorie Tubbs; one sister, Tina Allen; one brother, Richard Tubbs Jr. “Buddy”; and her adopted grandchild, Mirza Lopez. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Tubbs Sr., and her best friend, Brenda Smith. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Family Funeral Care on Summer Ave. from 3 pm until the Memorial service begins at 4 pm. The family asks that any memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
