Ms Castle Brown was one of the first smiling faces I met when I first attended Whitehaven Baptist Church in Dec 2003 . I was lonely, and looking for a church home. I thought WBC was a little "white people's church", but to my surprise discovered that it was multi-racial, cultural, and generational. Ms Castle warmly assured me that I would not be "pressured" to join the congregation but would be "loved" into it. It was all true. I soon joined the choir and helped with Vacation Bible School. Ms Castle Brown was my children's and g-kids Sunday School teacher. She was actively involved with her church family and in the lives of her sons, especially Rex whose name she quipped meant "King". My deep condolences to her husband, sons and to the WBC family. Ms Castle Brown was a beautiful, compassionate soul. Her life was a wonderful glow to bask in for a while. Rest in peace.

Our hearts go out to the family of our beloved line sister, Castle Curry Brown. We will always remember the joyous memories that we were privileged to have in knowing her.

It was about 55 years ago, at Lane College, Jackson, Tennessee where nineteen young ladies became friends and sisters when they pledged their lives to become a part of the illustrious sisterhood of Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated.

Please know that we share in your pain and sorrow and pay our final respect to our best friend and sister. Hold tight to the memories for comfort, lean on family and friends for strength, and always remember how much you are loved.

We graduated together in the Merry High class of 1963. She was our valedictorian . She was very smart. I went to Lane College with her for a while
To her husband and children, we are praying for you. May you rest in peace Castle.
