Catherine Pfeiffer

Catherine Lavender Pfeiffer, 85, passed away June 28, 2014 at her home in Cordova, TN. Catherine was a longtime member of Germantown Baptist Church where she taught a senior Sunday school class. At home, she loved to study scripture, read, and pray for family and friends. Catherine began her career as a surgical nurse; earned two Master’s degrees; taught at St. Joseph, Memphis State, and UTHSC; served as Clinical Specialist at William F. Bowld Hospital; and retired there as In-service Nursing Director. Her husband of 52 years Charles L. Pfeiffer, Sr preceded her in death as well as her son, Charles L. Pfeiffer, Jr.

Catherine leaves a loving legacy of memories to her daughter, Cathy Horobetz, her son Carl Pfeiffer, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services will be held in the Parlor Room of Germantown Baptist Church at 2:00p.m. on Tuesday, July 1st, followed by a gathering at the home of Carl Pfeiffer. The interment will take place at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery Wednesday, July 2nd at 2:30p.m. Memorials can be sent to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, and online condolences can be made at www.familyfuneralmemphis.com
