Celeste Renae Taylor Meredith passed away December 11, 2017. She died in her sleep of an apparent heart attack. She was 62. Celeste graduated from Treadwell High School and The University of Memphis. Upon graduation she taught at Lester Elementary School for 13 years.
Celeste loved to travel and spent a great deal of time on cruises and in many foreign countries. Her husband, Jon, was from Manchester England.
Celeste leaves her husband, Jon M. Meredith, her son, Marc A. Meredith and her mother, Arlene Southern and her step father, Dr. Robert Neil Southern and sister Amy Nolan and father Jerry Taylor. Also her step sister Myra Southern Wright (Rob) of Knoxville and step brother Joel B. Southern of Knoxville. She also leaves behind many cousins and numerous friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday December 15 at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, with a reception immediately following the service at the funeral home. All of her friends are invited.
