Cevin Andre Jefferson

Cevin was born March 28, 1973 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Pearlie Mae Jefferson and surviving father of Gene Hankins. He attended and graduated from Manassas High School class of 1991.

He became employed with Apple Inc. September of 2015 and of the last two years became part of the customer service advocacy team. He loved his job and his co-workers. He was built on being a problem solver no matter what it entailed.

He was also a humanitarian. He volunteered countless hours with the non-profit organization Hope Thru Soap. This organization provided a mobile shower experience to the less fortunate and homeless in Atlanta as well as haircuts, clothing and food. He would sell plates out of his own home to provide donations to this organization.

Cevin also served his country with honor. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1990 then re-enlisted in 1993 and was honorably discharged with several medals and ribbons of honor. He was part of 1st BN 9th Infantry.

Cevin will always be remembered as a great brother, uncle, friend and leader. He was well respected by everyone. His words, wisdom, silliness and character will always impact the hearts of everyone that cherished and loved him. We will always dance to the beats and tunes that Cevin liked to spin as a former radio and house D.J. We will always remember his smile and love for entertaining at his home and being the life of the party.

Cevin leaves cherished memories with his siblings, Archie Griffin, Shelia Jefferson, Latasha Jefferson, Joseph Jefferson, Thaddious Jefferson and Edwina Hankins. And a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews

A visitation for Cevin will be held Friday, September 4, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at M.J. Edwards F.H. Stage Road Chapel, 4445 Stage Road, Memphis, Tennessee 38128. A funeral service will occur Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 3:00 PM, 4445 Stage Road, Memphis, Tennessee 38128. A burial will occur Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 2:00 PM at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis, TN 38125.
