Codene R. Ford, 101, passed away on March 5, 2012, in Memphis, Tennessee. Ms. Ford was a long time member of Jackson Avenue Methodist Church. Codene also received the Unsons Hero Award. She was preceded in death by her parents; Marcus Roy Ray and Dovie Morris Ray, her husband Dudley Ford, son Rayford Dale Ford, sister Lorene Holiday, and brothers Howard, Vardell, and John Ray. Ms. Ford is survived by her sister Melvin Bunch, grandsons Gordon Ford, Glen Ford, Chris Ford, Clint Ford, and Brent Whiteside, and ten great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, March 7th at Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens Poplar Avenue starting at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements under the direction of Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Memphis, TN.
