

Constance Maclin Higgins, lifelong Memphis resident, died in the late evening on the 8th of August, 2016. Constance was born on December 11, 1927, she is 88 years old. Daughter of the late John G. and Benetia Kolivas; Ms. Higgins was a graduate of Humes High School, and was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Memphis. Her son John summed up her life yesterday, "she was a great mom". Her family would also include grandmother, great-grandmother and sister to that statement. Services for Ms. Higgins will all be on Friday, August 12 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church located at 573 N. Highland Street, Memphis, Tennessee 38122. Visitation will begin at noon and last until funeral services begin at two o'clock that afternoon. Fr. Simon Thomas will lead the service at church and at graveside at Elmwood Cemetery. Along with her parents, Constance was preceded in death by a granddaughter, other siblings and her husband, William G. Higgins whom she married on May 6, 1966. She is survived by her children Mary (Bill) Bramlett, Jack L. (Darlene) Maclin and John R. Maclin all of the Memphis area; sisters Venetia Hulbert and Brenda Green; brothers Gregory, Verne and Chris Kolivas; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
