David Willis Carpenter

David was a veteran, a Shriner, a life-time member of the Loyal Order of Moose. He was a member of Kirby Woods Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Smith Carpenter; son, David Keith Carpenter; daughter, Ivy Akins (Ricky); step-son, Perry Scott Smith; grandchildren, Matthew Carpenter, Kristen Smith, Coty Lockhart (Carley); four great grandchildren, Jack, Chris, Chloe Smith, Camreigh Lockhart and soon to be, Oliver Wade Carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Inez Carpenter; son, Kevin Wade Carpenter and step-son, Alan Clyde Smith.

David loved to sing karaoke, his favorite songs were Elvis songs. Years ago he was choir director at a small church in Mississippi. He spent several years in the T.V. repair business. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in David's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
