
David DiPietro, 44, of Memphis, passed away at home just prior to the Christmas holidays. Dave worked at the Hilton Corporation since 1992 where he most recently served as Senior Manager, Implementation-Americas, leading the implementation team for software installations at Hilton locations world wide. Originally from Old Bridge, NJ, Dave graduated from Madison Central High School in 1985 and from Purdue University in 1992 and pursued a successful career in the hospitality industry. Active in several community organizations, Dave looked forward to the annual "Memphis in May" Barbeque competition and he enjoyed belonging to the local Italian-American Club. He had a great talent for cooking, which he shared with others. Dave was admired by his many friends, co-workers and family members as a kind and caring person with a great sense of humor and a loving, generous heart. He is survived by his four sisters, Lois Kapp (James) of Naples, FL, Mary Ameen (Ramsey) of Wanaque, NJ, Kate Donofrio (Jan) of Naples, FL and Felicia DiPietro of Lebanon, NH. He is also survived by one nephew, Alexander Ameen of New Orleans and three nieces, Amber Ameen of Wanaque, NJ, Janna Donofrio and Gabriella Donofrio, both of Naples, FL. He also leaves several cousins in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, December 28, from 5-8 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue with the funeral service at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
