Born and raised in Indiana, Donna grew into the strong, determined, and deeply caring woman so many people knew and loved. She devoted her life to caring for others, both professionally and personally. As a registered nurse and natural caregiver, she spent her career tending to those in need, always offering comfort, compassion, and a steady presence.
Donna had a vibrant spirit and a love for life’s simple joys. She loved cooking meals that brought people together, filling her home with music, and dancing whenever the moment felt right. She never met a stranger and was known for being kind, friendly, and just stubborn enough to make sure things got done. Her warmth made people feel welcome, and her strength carried her family through many seasons of life.
To her grandchildren, she was lovingly known as “Mimi” — a name that quickly extended to many others who felt her nurturing heart. Being Mimi was one of her greatest joys. She adored her grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them. She also had a well-known love for Coca-Cola, sunny days at the beach, elaborate Christmas decorations that transformed her home into a winter wonderland, and baking treats to share with friends and family. Her holidays were filled with laughter, lights, and the sweet smell of something homemade in the oven.
Donna was preceded in death by her siblings, MaryBeth Cobb and Mark Goodpaster.
She is survived by her daughters, Rachel Willis and Jennifer Willis; her beloved grandchildren, Lauren Bryant, Kaylea Roberts, Ian Roberts and Tanner Steinbeck; and her sister, Roberta Crum.
A small celebration of life will be held at a later date with her children and grandchildren.
Donna’s legacy lives on in the love she gave so freely, the traditions she created, and the memories her family and friends will carry in their hearts forever.
