Leatrice was very strong in her Christian Faith and was a member of Colonial Baptist Church for over 50 years.
Leatrice was a homemaker and a member of the social order of the Eastern Star. Leatrice helped provide an environment of friendship, fellowship, promoted positive change while working cohesively with her Husband, Clifford, and their Masonic family.
Leatrice, until a few years ago, worked once a week at a Memphis Clothing Mission. Leatrice would gather, sort and hand out clothes to the homeless and other people in need. Leatrice was a volunteer at Lebonheur Children’s hospital for many years.
Leatrice loved to travel the world with friends and family. Leatrice was an avid bowler and enjoyed her monthly bunko group with her friends, who were also her travel buddies. Leatrice loved making quilts for her family, especially grandchildren, ceramics and was a painter of landscapes.
Leatrice is survived by her son Donnie Langston (Martha), daughter Lavonne Tigner (Mark), seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two sisters.
Leatrice was reunited in heaven with her husband, Clifford Davis Langston, her son (Richard David Langston), her parents (Ervin and Rual Chapman) along with three brothers and two sisters.
Leatrice will be missed by all those who knew her, especially her family.
A graveside service for Leatrice will be held Monday, July 8, 2024 beginning at 10:00 AM at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Rd, Memphis, TN 38134.
