Dorothy Laurine Cooley Blair, 87, of Memphis died Monday, November 8, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital. The family will receive friends from 5-7 Wednesday, November 10, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Poplar Avenue. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Blair was a medical secretary for the Veterans Hospital in Memphis. Mrs. Blair was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Perkins Berry Blair, Sr., and her son, Perkins Berry Blair, Jr. She is survived by her two daughters, Eleanor Blair Hilty of Cashiers, NC; and Suzanne Blair-Bowyer and son-in-law, Richard Bowyer of Woodstock, GA; her sister, Ruby Jean Boxley of Marked Tree, AR; four grandchildren, Julia Taylor Hilty, Leonard Franklin Hilty IV, both of Cashiers, NC; Elizabeth Volkmer of Piedmont, SC; and Emily Cleveland of Kennesaw, GA; and 6 great-grandchildren, Sam, Lily, Ella, Julia, Lance, and Lukas.
