Dorothy McKeegan Brown, 94, passed away October 8, 2011 at Ave Maria Nursing Home in Bartlett. She was born April 30, 1917 in Rockwood, PA. She was a graduate of West Penn School of Nursing in Pittsburg, PA. She resided in Ford City, PA during the 1940s to the late 1960s, serving as the office nurse for the late Dr. Robertson. She was then employed as the assistant director of personnel at Ashtabula General Hospital in Ashtabula, OH, until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James J. McKeegan and Ralph O. Brown, and two sisters, Marie Miranda and Beryl Moore. She leaves two sons, Paul E. McKeegan of Bartlett, and John T. McKeegan of Parkton, MD; six grandsons; and five great grandchildren. Interment will be Englewood, FL. Memorials may be sent to Ave Maria Nursing Home in Bartlett.
