Dorothy M. Brukardt

Dorothy M. Brukardt, 90, of Memphis, Tenn. died Saturday, August 18, 2012. The family will receive guests on Tuesday, August 21 from 12 noon until funeral services begin at 2 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 5599 Poplar, Memphis, Tenn. Originally from Etowah, Ark., Dorothy attended Keiser Elementary School and was a graduate of Lepanto High School. She worked for the Golden Pheasant Restaurant and Goldsmith’s Tea Room and as a homemaker was a giving, sacrificial wife and mother, excellent seamstress and cook, and found later in life that she was a talented painter. Mrs. Brukardt is survived by her husband of 68 years Henry R. Brukardt of Memphis; and her daughters Kim Brukardt and Bobbi Brukardt Marlar (Bill) both of Olive Branch, Miss.
